I'm Lisa Lewis......and I was born and raised in Richmond, Indiana. I attended Ball State University and have spent the last ten years teaching in Charlotte, North Carolina. I love being a teacher and I love being a mom! I have two beautiful sons, Parker and Preston. Parker is 4 years old and Preston is 1. We love to be active together, so when I'm not at school, you can find me at the pool, soccer field, hockey rink, or playing Star Wars! I'm married to an elementary school teacher, so we are definitely a family that values education and feel strongly about providing our students with the type of education that we would like our sons' to have! I'm excited to be your child's teacher this year!

My Experience |
I am a proud Ball State University graduate and have ten years of teaching experience. After graduating, I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where I taught first grade and received multiple awards. In 2009, I was nominated Teacher of the Year. In 2011, I received my National Board Certification. In 2015, I was selected to be the featured teacher in my previous district's magazine. I was chosen to participate in a professional development opportunity entitled Charlotte Teacher's Institute. Through my participation in this institute, I worked with college professors and fellow teachers to develop curriculum, which is available to all teachers online!
